8th Annual Chamber/United Way Golf Classic Results Announced

ANDERSON- The 8th Annual United Way/Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic, presented by Hoosier Park Racing Casino, raised over $39,000 last Friday at Edgewood Golf Course. Players from 43 businesses/organizations made up 40 teams along with over 84 sponsors and over 40 volunteers to help make the day a success. Proceeds from the Golf Classic support various important local efforts by United Way and the Madison County Chamber in education and the financial stability of individuals and businesses in our community.

These include:

Born Learning - Preparing young children for success in school

Young Entrepeneurs Academy - Fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs and business professionals in our community

Job Training & Education Development Partnerships -  From helping individuals go back to school and gain certifications to earn a higher wage to helping businesses gain skills to market and thrive.

well as Longest Drive,Closest to the Pin, Straightest Drive and Team Putting contest are listed below.

Men’s Straightest Drive – Tim Lawson (St. Vincent Anderson Team)

Women’s Straightest Drive – Ann Yates (St.Vincent Mercy Team)

Men’s Closest to the Pin - Roosevelt Potts (Hoosier Park Team)

Team Putting Contest – Kevin Voorhis, Jerry Powers, Trent Shannon and Todd Irwin (IMI – Irving Materials Team)
